10th Anniversary of Master Drawings London, Exhibition of Recent Acquisitions and Italian Drawings from a Private Collection
For the 10th consecutive year Crispian Riley-Smith will be exhibiting in London in July. This year’s event will prove an exciting show with a recent discovery and numerous drawings and watercolours that have not been seen on the market in a number of years. A drawing by Raffaellino da Reggio is a recent discovery, the suggestion that it could be by this Roman artist was made to a number of art historians, and the attribution has been confirmed. The drawing has been connected to a painting of a ‘Baptism with a Chorus of Angels’ in the Baptismal chapel at SS. Apostoli in Rome, a chapel destroyed in the 18th century rebuilding of the church. From the same collection will be exhibited drawings by Giacome Cavedone, a landscape by Remigio Cantagallina and a double-sided view of Rome by Alessio de Marchis, amongst others.
